The Future Doesn't Belong to Students Who Simply Score Higher. It Belongs to Those Who Discover Their Purpose Earlier.
Pune, India — As industries evolve through artificial intelligence, innovation and global collaboration, universities are increasingly seeking students who can think critically, solve real-world problems and demonstrate initiative beyond examination scores. This shift is leading a growing number of globally aspirational families to explore the International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme (IBCP)—an internationally recognised pathway that blends academic excellence with career-focused learning to prepare students for both university and life.
What is the IB Career-related Programme (IBCP)?
A Future-Ready Pathway for University & Career Success
Every parent hopes their child graduates with more than excellent grades—they hope they graduate with confidence, clarity and purpose. The IBCP is designed to support exactly that outcome, combining rigorous IB academics with career-related learning and the internationally recognised CP Core.
Education Has Changed. Has School Changed With It?
Success today is no longer measured by marks alone. Universities and employers increasingly value students who can communicate effectively, think independently, collaborate across cultures and apply knowledge in practical situations. The IBCP responds to this need by integrating rigorous IB academics with career-related learning and the CP Core, enabling students to develop both academic excellence and future-ready skills.
Why Was the IBCP Created?
Every student has unique strengths and aspirations—some are inspired by technology, others by business, design, sports or entrepreneurship. The IBCP allows students to combine academic learning with meaningful career exploration, helping them discover their interests while building practical knowledge and transferable skills for higher education and future careers.
Is Your Child the Right Fit for the IBCP?
The IBCP is well suited to students who want to:
- Connect academics with real-world learning
- Build strong university portfolios
- Explore career interests before university
- Develop leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
- Prepare for higher education in India and abroad
Where Curiosity Becomes Career Confidence
Students learn by doing. Through specialised pathways in Artificial Intelligence, Business Administration, Design and Sports Management, they develop industry-relevant knowledge while strengthening creativity, innovation and critical thinking. Career-related studies become part of the learning journey—not an extracurricular activity.
Learning That Looks More Like the Real World
At Vishwashanti Gurukul World School, students learn in environments designed to encourage innovation and creativity. Whether designing automotive concepts, exploring sustainable materials, developing fashion prototypes or working with advanced digital technologies, students experience project-based learning that mirrors professional practice. The question shifts from “Can my child memorise?” to “Can my child create, innovate and lead?”
A First-of-its-Kind Launch: Four Career Pathways, Backed by Industry Partnerships
With the 2026–27 batch, Vishwashanti Gurukul World School introduces four IBCP Career-related Studies pathways—Business Administration, Design, Artificial Intelligence and Sports Management—among the first such offerings in India. These pathways are delivered through the World Academy of Career Programmes (WACP), which the International Baccalaureate has acknowledged as an authorised Career-related Studies provider for schools offering the IBCP in India.
To give students exposure aligned with real industry practice, the school has formalised academic partnerships with MIT Art, Design and Technology University (MIT ADT University) through separate Memoranda of Understanding. Under these collaborations, students gain access to expert guest lectures, faculty mentorship, laboratory and Makerspace facilities, guided site visits, workshops and career-guidance sessions. The partnerships span the MIT Institute of Design, the MIT ADT College of Management and MANET (under MIT ADT University), extending design, management and applied-learning exposure to VGWS students. The MIT Institute of Design collaboration also supports the school in establishing and enhancing its own Design Lab and Makerspace facilities for students.
One Educational Journey. Multiple International Qualifications & Certifications.
One of the defining strengths of the IBCP is that students graduate with more than a school-leaving certificate. Subject to successful completion of programme requirements, students may earn:
- International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme qualification
- IB Diploma Programme course results
- WACP International Diploma (Grade 11)
- WACP International Advanced Diploma (Grade 12)
- Recognition of the IBCP by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
The International Baccalaureate has acknowledged WACP as an authorised Career-related Studies provider, with the WACP International Diploma (Grade 11) and International Advanced Diploma (Grade 12) recognised as the CRS component of the IBCP qualification awarded to students.
A Qualification That Opens Doors Across India and the World
Parents naturally want flexibility when planning their child's future. The IBCP provides internationally recognised learning while supporting pathways to universities in India and abroad. The Association of Indian Universities (AIU) has accorded the IBCP equivalence to the +2 (Grade 12) stage of Indian school boards such as CBSE and other recognised state boards, strengthening opportunities for students pursuing higher education within India alongside global aspirations.

Traditional Grades 11 & 12 vs A Future-Ready Learning Experience
Traditional education often asks, “What did the student score?” The IBCP asks, “What can the student achieve?” Students graduate with academic knowledge and excellence, professional skills, leadership experience, project portfolios, international exposure, greater readiness for university and career awareness for future careers.
The Question Every Parent Should Ask
The most important question is no longer, “Will my child score well?” It is, “Will my child be prepared for opportunities that don't yet exist?” Education should equip students not only to succeed in university but to adapt, innovate and lead throughout their lives.
The future belongs to young people who combine knowledge with purpose. The International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme empowers students to pursue academic excellence while discovering their passions and building practical skills for an evolving world.
“At Vishwashanti Gurukul World School, education is not simply about preparing students for the next examination. It is about preparing them for the next decade, the next opportunity and the next chapter of their lives. Through the International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme, students graduate not only with internationally recognised qualifications but with the confidence, character and capabilities to thrive in an ever-changing world.”
At Vishwashanti Gurukul World School, students are encouraged to become confident learners, future professionals and compassionate global citizens—ready to thrive wherever their ambitions take them.

Why Globally Aspirational Families Are Looking Beyond Traditional Grade 11 & 12
Education is no longer measured only by examination scores.
