Akin Analytics & NECTAR sign MoU to make North-East India the Drone Innovation Hub

Shillong/Hyderabad: Akin Analytics, India’s first women-led DeepTech AI and Drone Analytics startup, has signed an MoU with the North East Centre for Technology Application and Reach (NECTAR), an autonomous body under the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India. The partnership will roll out Akin’s indigenous NIKA2 KDM multi-payload drone (16 kg capacity, farmer- and SHG-friendly, designed for hassle-free agri spraying, mining surveys, and disaster response), along with advanced AI-driven services and training programs for agriculture, mining, infrastructure, energy, and disaster management—empowering farmers, youth, and women in the region.

This collaboration will empower grassroots farmers and youth by providing DGCA-certified drone training and distributing indigenous agri-drones under various central schemes that improve farm productivity, reduce risks, and enhance livelihoods. Akin with its local office in Guwahati Biotech Park, will contribute its indigenous drone solutions and AI-powered analytics platform, while NECTAR integrates these services into its mission of fostering inclusive socio-economic growth in the region.
