Inspired by the thoughts and principles of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, Akshay Ashok Salve is rising as a young labor leader in Maharashtra’s political landscape.
Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Kamgar Sena is Maharashtra’s first labor organization that is fully dedicated to ensuring justice for workers. Akshay Ashok Salve has been working for the rights of laborers in Maharashtra for the past ten years. Without relying on any political party, he has fought independently to secure justice for workers across the state.
His sole objective is to ensure that minimum wages are implemented for all workers in Maharashtra, their salaries are increased, and their rights are protected. He is committed to ensuring that no worker is exploited and that every laborer, whether in districts, talukas, or cities, receives fair treatment and proper service benefits.
Over the past five years, Akshay Ashok Salve has successfully secured justice for various workers, including those from:
- Mantralaya (Maharashtra Secretariat)
- New Administrative Building
- PWD workers
- MLA Residences
- Konkan Bhavan
- Railway workers
- Sant Rohidas Charmakar Mahamandal
- Construction and contract-based laborers
Now, his primary mission is to extend minimum wage benefits to workers in every district across Maharashtra.
With Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s ideology as his foundation, Salve has taken up the challenge of fighting for justice and equality for all workers. Just as Dr. Ambedkar fought for social equality, Salve is now leading the battle for labor equality, striving to liberate workers from exploitation.
