Punjab, October 2025: Popular Punjabi singer and actor Hardy Sandhu has stepped forward to support Sikh Aid in its ongoing flood rehabilitation work in Punjab by adopting multiple homes for reconstruction. His involvement has given a major boost to relief efforts in villages devastated by the recent floods. Many families lost everything in the calamity, and rebuilding even a basic shelter seemed like an impossible task—until organizations like Sikh Aid and supporters like Hardy Sandhu began taking responsibility at the grassroots level.
The floods in Punjab earlier this year caused severe destruction across several districts, submerging homes, damaging crops, and washing away livestock. Entire villages were left displaced. Farmlands were buried in silt and machinery was rendered unusable due to water damage. While temporary shelters and food drives were set up in the initial days, long-term rehabilitation remained a massive challenge.
Sikh Aid, under the leadership of Raunak Singh, has been working tirelessly in the affected regions. What sets the organization apart is its commitment to direct on-ground delivery. Teams from Sikh Aid personally visit villages, assess family needs, and provide exactly what is required to rebuild lives from scratch. The foundation has supplied diesel to farmers so they can restart their tractors and water pumps, provided buffaloes to families who lost livestock, and supplied beds, utensils, and everyday essentials to those with nothing left.
Hardy Sandhu’s decision to adopt homes under Sikh Aid’s rehabilitation program has brought both hope and attention to the cause. His support will cover the complete reconstruction of multiple homes, enabling displaced families to return to permanent shelter and regain stability. Speaking about the initiative, Hardy said:
Punjab has given me everything — my roots, my identity, and my people. When I saw the devastation caused by the floods, I knew I had to help in whatever way I could. Sikh Aid has been doing incredible work on the ground, and I’m proud to stand with them in rebuilding homes and restoring lives.
His involvement has also inspired many of his fans and followers to come forward and contribute. Sikh Aid believes that real change happens when communities unite, and Hardy’s participation is a strong example of that spirit.
Raunak Singh, founder of Sikh Aid, expressed his gratitude and emphasized how contributions like these help maintain momentum in relief operations:
It’s inspiring to see artists like Hardy paaji coming forward to help their own people. His gesture will not only rebuild houses but also restore faith and strength in many families. We hope his support encourages more individuals and public figures to join this mission.
As rebuilding efforts continue across Punjab, initiatives like this are helping restore more than just houses—they are restoring hope. With consistent support and responsible action, Punjab will rise again, one home and one family at a time.
